Role Overview We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join our team. The role covers all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts receivable & payable, VAT & reporting. Key Responsibilities Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients and tenants. Maintain and update the property database accurately. Generate monthly rent demands before the due date. Process sales ledger transactions, ensuring correct allocation of received funds against outstanding rent demands. Compliance with RICS regulations. Ensure prompt payments are made and proper authorisation internally according to policies. Prepare periodic accounts accurately, tailored to client requirements. Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts. Produce reports on outstanding tenant balances. Handle daily remittance processes to residential landlords as per client requirements. Perform general administrative duties on a rotational basis within the department. The existing Client Accounting service is fulfilled from 5 principal centres in Wimborne, Peterborough, Perth and Dumfries as well as a small team in Oxford dealing with farm client accounting. The teams provide a comprehensive client accounting services to our estate management and farming clients including: full bookkeeping, purchase ledger, rent/sales ledger, cheque and BACs processing, forecasting, and a wide range of financial reporting including management and financial accounts. Our dynamic Client Accounting Department is composed of a dedicated team of professionals, including two managers, four senior accounts assistants, and a team of accounts assistants. With a diverse range of experience and qualifications, our team specialises in client accounting for a wide array of clients.Each team member is responsible for their own client allocations, ensuring a personalised and focused service.
