The U.K. & Ireland is our domestic and most mature market. Teams include commercial, operations, marketing, and strategy, and teams in the UK&I partner with global departments such as product, technology, and consumer. The Regional Growth team is responsible for the commercial output of our mid-market restaurant partners in the five nations of the U.K. and Ireland, including our dark kitchen offering, Editions, and dedicated Chinese Category Team. Each region faces its own complexities and opportunities, and our teams focus on bringing the best possible selection to our customers and growth opportunities to our restaurants.
The Role
We are seeking a Strategy and Commercial City Manager to join our Sheffield and North East & Yorkshire team. This is a unique opportunity to become a key member of a growing, well-funded startup. You will build relationships with our restaurant partners in your area, enhance our value proposition for customers, and identify growth opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship building, data-driven insights, and developing city strategies. You will report to the Regional Manager.
What you'll do:
* Be the local expert for South Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, understanding the restaurant industry and representing Deliveroo in the area.
* Use data insights to improve our customer proposition neighborhood by neighborhood.
* Manage top restaurant partners, leading negotiations and optimizing their performance on the platform for growth.
* Collaborate with the local account manager to grow local hero brands.
* Identify and onboard new popular local restaurants to Deliveroo and support their success.
* Lead the local business development managers, providing coaching, setting priorities, and deal making.
* Develop the local sales strategy, identifying key value gaps and focus areas.
* Enhance our customer offering through local knowledge, improving selection, restaurant operations, and strategic planning with the Regional Manager and teams.
* Maximize marketing opportunities by encouraging restaurant participation.
Requirements:
* Over 4 years of experience in account/relationship management, sales, or strategy roles.
* Results and target-oriented mindset.
* Ability to analyze restaurant and area performance data to identify improvements.
* Flexible work arrangement: 2-3 days in the field and 2-3 days in office or remote.
