A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to work in the Adult Hearing Aid Centre which operates across 3 sites at The Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, Edgware Community Hospital & Finchley Memorial Hospital.
The successful candidate will be one of the lead clinicians for The Adult Audiological Rehabilitation Department working within the adult hearing aid centre and outreach services, with responsibilities across all sites.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the most complex adult hearing aid patients who may suffer with a range of Audiological and psychological conditions. The post holder will also assist the Service Lead in service development projects. Therefore, experience in paediatric to adult audiology transition clinics, adults with learning disabilities, tinnitus functions on hearing aids, and IQIPS is particularly desirable.
Please note this post is situated with the adult hearing aid service which is under Audiology but separate to the Adult Diagnostic, Paediatric, and Hearing Therapy departments.
You will have a BSc and/or MSc in Audiology or BAAT parts 1&2, BTEC in MPPM & must have voluntary registration with the AHCS (RCCP).

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
* MSc in Clinical Audiology or equivalent level of knowledge/expertise in field CAC or equivalent post graduate experience
* Registered to practice as an Audiologist/ Clinical Scientist with either Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
* Significant post-graduate experience in relevant clinical area
* Evidence of post graduate CPD
* Applied theoretical knowledge of the relevant assessment and therapeutic/rehabilitative procedures for the management of audiological or vestibular conditions in adults and/or children
* Knowledge of impact of co-morbidities such as global delay or neurological conditions in the management of adults and/or children.
Desirable criteria
* Post graduate management/ leadership training or experience as supervisor
* Membership of BAA, BSA
Experience
Essential criteria
* Demonstrable experience in the relevant clinical area and evidence of clinical competency with a complex patient caseload.
* Specialist knowledge of routine and non-routine diagnostic / therapeutic audiological assessment procedures, their interpretation and their implications for patient management
* Experience in formulating comprehensive management plans based on case history information and diagnostic test results, where management decisions may or may not be straightforward
* Experience of working with hearing impaired patients / parents / carers and associated professionals
* Evidence of participation in clinical audit, research, and / or presentations at scientific meetings.
* Ability to work in a team and to independently deliver clinical and non-clinical tasks
* Ability to work with a level of autonomy to assess, diagnose, differentially diagnose and manage patients and their families.
* Participation in research and development activities, including audit of clinical outcomes as required
* Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure from a busy and varied caseload, demonstrating good prioritisation and organisational skills
* Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
* Ability to monitor outcomes using clinical and non-clinical data
