Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Manager to work with a well-established, family-run business. The company began over 20 years ago and is a trusted leader in the materials handling equipment industry.
Position: Field Service Manager
Location: Brackley
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
Pay: £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE)
Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Field Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing an efficent and profitable field service operation that can be scaled up as the business grows.
Leading and managing the office and field teams to achieve required levels of performance. Fully accountable for the performance of your team and for all HR responsibilities including hire and fire
Overseeing the daily scheduling and invoice operations. Using your experience to caoch best practices and promote efficient operations.
Being the main point of contact for customer technical support, diagnosing, documenting and reoslving issues. Working with lead engineers and suppliers for support technical issues.
Spending routine scheduled time in the field to assist the engineers and build strong relationships. Providing occasional emergency cover when necessary.
Monitoring spares availability for the engineers and managing their van stock to maximise first fix rates.
Promoting the companys service offering at every opportunity and working with the engineers to encourage and incentivise them to do the same.
Taking ownership of the customer relationship and customer satisfaction with our service offering.Qualifications and Skills:
Ideally have a qualification in an electrical and mechanical field
MUST have previous experience as a Field Service Engineer
MUST have managed a team of engineers, at least at a supervisor level.
MUST have proven ability to meet goals - with a demonstrable record of achievement in field service metrics
Evidence of relevant education and training
Electrical and Mechanical product knowledge
Proficiency in effective communication, both with your team and customers
