Middlesbrough Council is seeking passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our Fostering and Connected Carers teams. We work closely with connected carers and foster carers, assessing their caring capacity and ensuring appropriate, stable living arrangements for children and young people who are unable to remain with their parents.
In this vital role, you will work closely with connected carers or close family friends who step forward to care for children unable to remain with their parents. You will be responsible for assessing the carer's capacity, providing ongoing support, and ensuring the children in their care have safe, stable, and nurturing environments. What We Offer:
1. Competitive Salary: Up to £41,000
2. Generous Annual Leave: Starting from 26 days, rising to 31 days after 5 years of service, plus paid bank holidays (combined value of nearly £6,000)
3. Employer Pension Contributions: 11.5% of your salary, equivalent to over £5,000 per year, plus a death in service benefit of 3.5 times your annual salary
