The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a friendly and customer-focussed Security team, playing a crucial role in the safety and security of Bolton Council’s elected members, employees and the general public.
You would be required to patrol and monitor Council premises, respond to emergency alarm calls, and ensure there is no unauthorised access to Council property. Other duties include operating control room equipment, maintaining accurate records and occasional cash-handing and cash in transit responsibilities. This role requires work outside of normal office hours covering evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service, for which you will receive a generous shift allowance.
You will work 42.25 hours rolling over 18 weeks. 4x 12 hour day shifts (7am-7pm), 4x days off, 4x 12 hour night sifts (7pm-7am).
About You
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be passionate about providing a helpful and customer-focussed service. You will enjoy working as part of a team and be able to keep accurate records for the purposes of incident investigations.
Previous experience in a security role, an SIA licence and possession of a full and valid driving licence are essential for this role.
Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must be physically fit enough to carry out aspects of the job such as lifting/carrying/standing for lengthy periods.
