We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Operations Manager to join our client’s business and to oversee and manage the delivery of security services across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing security teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. This is a key leadership role with responsibilities for operations, staff management and customer engagement.
Experience in security guarding services is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring all services are delivered to the highest standard and in line with contractual requirements.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop security staff, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring effective training programs are in place.
3. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact to address concerns and provide tailored solutions.
4. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements, including Health & Safety and GDPR.
5. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential threats.
6. Budget Management: Oversee budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining service quality.
7. Incident Management: Respond to and resolve security incidents efficiently, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, security measures and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Qualifications
1. Proven experience in security operations management, ideally within the corporate, retail, or critical infrastructure sectors.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
3. Excellent client relationship management abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
4. Knowledge of relevant security regulations and standards, such as SIA licensing and ACS accreditation.
5. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
6. Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to liaise at all organisational levels.
8. A full UK driving license is required.
