We have an immediate requirement for a CNC Turner, Machine Setter/Operator with a strong background in component / Mechanical manufacturing.
If you are or have been working in a component engineering business and are now seeking an opportunity to further develop your skills and experience to become a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, this is for you.
Duties will include:
* Setting up and ensuring the relevant program is ready to run on either a CNC lathe or VMC
* CNC Turning
* Operating both Lathes and Milling Machines
* Running machines concurrently
* Ensuring components are produced to specified tolerances from technical drawings
* Inspecting components using various measuring equipment such as verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres, etc.
* Deburring components across a range of materials
* Reporting any anomalies to the Machine Shop Manager
* Working with the Quality Inspection Department during component manufacture
* Maintaining a clean and tidy environment and adhering to company standards
* Carrying out a weekly clean of your assigned CNC machines

The Person:
You will have experience working within a component manufacturing environment, ideally with some machine setting and operating knowledge, and an engineering qualification. Knowledge of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls would be beneficial.
Minimum Requirements:
* HNC/HND/NVQ in mechanical engineering
* Setting and Operating Milling and Turning Machines
* Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Knowledge of Verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres, etc.
* Experience in Deburring
* Quality control and Inspection knowledge
