We’re looking for passionate and experienced Dementia Support Workers to join our Dementia Services team at Dougie Mac. These are exciting times as we grow and develop our services to enhance support for people affected by dementia across North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering 1:1 support to people living with dementia, helping them engage in social activities of their choosing to improve their wellbeing; this is a community-based post.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised 1:1 support to people living with dementia, enabling them to participate in meaningful social activities.
* Build positive relationships with individuals and their families, promoting their emotional wellbeing.
* Maintain accurate and professional records in line with organisational policies.
* Work collaboratively with the Dementia Services team to ensure a high standard of care and support.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of dementia services.
* Safeguard the welfare of individuals by adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
* Experience in providing support to people living with dementia.
* A compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A full UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle - this is essential for the role.
* Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards meeting individual needs.

Salary: £23,100 full time / £11.81 per hour
Hours: 37.5 – 30 hours
