Salary Hours £23.00 p\h, depending on experience. Part time 24hrs a week.

Job role
We produce geotechnical equipment for shallow and deep sea projects. Our products are required to meet the challenges of this unique environment.
In order to meet our company growth targets we are introducing a MRP system to the company and require an experienced engineering estimator/planner to fulfil this important role.
The estimator will play a pivotal role in estimating costs, planning and scheduling production as well as integrating with financial and project management aspects of the company.
Providing detailed projections on costs and timelines, ensuring we stay competitive by accurate forecasting. The estimator is responsible for compiling and analysing data on all factors that influence cost such as materials, labour, and lead times.
We require people who are motivated to deliver high quality work and will integrate with our existing friendly team. Across all our engineering roles we need people with a keen interest in continuous learning, who will approach problem solving with an open mind, and enjoy technically challenging projects. You will be a key team member of a process which completes projects from concept through to delivery.
Responsibilities - You will have responsibility for the following:
• Estimate the time, cost, materials and labour required to manufacture a product, or provide a service.
• Creates new part numbers, Material codes, BOM’s and Labour plans
• Reviews technical drawings
• Collaborates with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Purchasing and Production.
• Plans the manufacturing process
• Creates the routing cards for production
• Reviews completed routing cards and update the planning according to deviations from the planned process.
• Inputting data into the MRP.
• Generating reports from the MRP data
Essential Prerequisites:
• Experience with MRP\ERP software
• A degree, HNC or equivalent OR proven on the job experience
• Must be able to read engineering drawings
• Needs an understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, assembly and test.
• Confidence working as an individual, or within a team.
• Desire to learn and continually improve your knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Organised with good time management skills.
• Motivated individual

• Eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Prerequisites:
• Experience with Redthorn MRPor other MRP system
• Valid passport
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience within the offshore/marine industry
