A day in the life of an Ascent Qualified Instructor As a Qualified Instructor you will be part of an experienced and professional ground school team responsible for the day-to-day delivery of ground instruction to Rotary Wing and Central Flying School (Helicopter) trainees. The role combines classroom instruction in a wide-ranging syllabus of aviation subjects, together with operation of a variety of pilot and rear crew Ground Based Training Equipment (GBTE). Specifically, you will: Deliver lessons in a range of aviation subjects to a variety of trainees and staff in a classroom environment including through the use of computer-aided instruction. Facilitate training delivery using GBTE devices as an Instructor-Operated Station operator. As a subject matter expert, assist aircrew training specialists and software designers in the development and maintenance of rotary wing courseware. Work in partnership with our customer and other stakeholders to ensure that our dependencies and expectations are delivered on time, to quality and within budgeted cost. What will make you successful… You will already have a breadth and depth of subject knowledge and instructional experience having taught in a military aviation or similar technical environment. You will thrive when working with military trainees across all levels, using your superlative interpersonal and communication skills.
