RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE 3+ PQE
Are you ready to elevate your career in residential property development? This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team, advising residential developers on a range of critical issues including land acquisitions, site assembly, planning, construction, development funding, disposals, and estate management.
You day to day responsibilities will include:
* Working on site acquisitions, site assembly, and disposals for regional and national residential developers, including full due diligence and reporting.
* Drafting Reports and Contracts, Options, Building Leases, Promotion Agreements, Transfers, and Overage Agreements.
* Preparing for the sale of completed dwellings following acquisition.
* Delegating work to solicitors, trainee solicitors, and paralegals where appropriate.
* Collaborating with Partners to expand the residential housing development offering and client base.
* Contributing to the department's wider business development objectives and initiatives.
* Raisin the profile of the wider team externally.
* Staying updated with changes and developments in the law and undertake a range of continuing professional development activities.
Not only will you be joining a widely recognised and highly respected team, you will gain invaluable experience by collaborating closely with the Partner and Fee Earners on a daily basis. You will engage in a variety of tasks from drafting contracts and agreements to preparing for the sale of completed dwellings, through to contributing to the expansion of the residential housing development offering and client base.
The successful candidate will be:
* Organised with strong attention to detail.
* Ideally more than 3 years post-qualification experience in residential property development, although candidates with more or less experience will be considered on their merits
* Analytical with strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance cost and benefit.
* Adept at working to challenging timescales with effective planning and organisation skills.
* Excellent management and communication skills, with sound judgement.
* Skilled in establishing rapport and relationships.
* Pro-active, enthusiastic, and committed.
* Efficient and methodical with effective diary/administration management (including time recording).
* Flexible, with the ability to adapt their style and use different approaches.
* Good prioritisation skills and the ability to work with urgency.
* Ability to work within and as part of multi-discipline teams.
* Demonstrate an aptitude and enthusiasm for business development.
