Our client’s cloud-based employee health platform is specifically designed to help organisations successfully manage, monitor, and take appropriate action to support employee health and wellbeing. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with previous exposure to delivering software projects and working remotely.
Job Purpose:
1. Project manage small and low-risk projects from project initiation through to closure.
2. Responsibility for ensuring projects are on track and within the agreed budget.
3. Projects will include Client Implementations, Business Change, and Product Development.
4. This role will also carry out project administration duties to ensure internal processes are adhered to.
Job Responsibilities:
1. End to end project management of small, low-risk projects from project set up through to closure. This will include working with the Account Manager /CEO / Operations Manager to determine the scope, delivery scales, and financial costings of a project.
2. Build and keep up to date a project plan to be agreed with the client and lead technical delivery consultant.
3. Ensure the project is resourced efficiently taking into account resource capacity and skills.
4. Monitor delivery of the project on a daily basis to ensure the project is completed on time, scope, and to agreed budget.
5. Escalate any risk or issues impacting the delivery of the project to the Head of Operations.
6. Manage the client to ensure deliverables are met and if not, the plan impact, risks, and issues are communicated.
7. Manage any changes to the project by following the change request process.
8. Complete weekly status reports to provide the Head of Operations with a temperature check on project delivery.
9. Ensure projects are invoiced monthly as required.
10. Ensure all company processes are followed as outlined (including gates project management procedures).
11. Test/review delivered work where required.
12. Support the Head of Operations or CEO with project administration activities as required, including ensuring resource planned leave is entered in the project management tool.
13. Ensuring task administration is followed (deliverables outlined, active tasks are only data in the past if they are still being worked on or are blocked).
14. Reviewing resource capacity and liaising with the appropriate project managers to review deliverables where resources are over/under.
15. Assist with reporting from the project management tool where required.
16. Act as a point of guidance for junior PMs, providing coaching and knowledge sharing to strengthen overall team performance.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Experience of managing client-facing projects.
2. Significant experience in a project management role managing complex projects end to end.
3. Experience of the end-to-end project life cycle from project initiation through to closure.
4. Experience with both agile and waterfall project management methods.
5. Experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
6. Excellent organisation skills, able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
7. Confidence to communicate, negotiate and influence varying levels of stakeholders both internal and external.
8. Able to build rapport with others.
9. Experience mentoring or supporting other Project Managers in their development.
10. Ability to lead by example, providing guidance on best practices and project management methodologies.
11. Comfortable with influencing and supporting junior team members while maintaining your own project responsibilities.
12. Resilient individual with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
13. Diligence and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered to a high standard.
14. Able to work independently but be a key contributor to a highly efficient team.
15. PRINCE 2 or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
16. Experience of Celoxis Project Management tool is advantageous but not essential.
