Sports Coach Location: Winsford, Cheshire Pay: £88.92 - £100.53 per day (dependent on payroll choice) Start Date: September 2025 We are looking for a Sports Coach to join our exceptional special school team. We support students aged 11-17 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs, including speech, language, communication challenges, and behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties. As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students in both academic and extracurricular settings. You will use your expertise in sports to engage and motivate students, helping them build physical skills, teamwork, and confidence. Role and Responsibilities: As a Sports Coach, your key duties will include: Coaching students in a range of sports and physical activities, promoting teamwork, fitness, and health. Supporting students' personal development by helping them improve confidence, resilience, and social skills through sports. Assisting teachers in creating and delivering sports-related activities that complement the curriculum. Encouraging a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to participate. Working closely with students who may have additional learning needs to ensure they can engage and benefit from physical activities. Promoting the importance of physical activity and healthy living to all students. What We Are Looking For: A qualified sports coach with experience in coaching or teaching sports to young people. Experience in working with students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. A passionate interest in using sport as a tool for development, building confidence, and improving life skills.
