SEND HLTA | Birmingham, B6 | £105 - £115 per day | ASAP Our partner primary school, located in Aston (B6), is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their inclusive team. This role is based in a special educational needs (SEND) resource base, leading a group of 12 students outside the mainstream classroom. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with complex needs, while also providing essential support to teachers. Role Responsibilities: Lead the classroom, adapting and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND. Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, focusing on their individual learning and development goals. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that promote inclusivity and encourage progress in students with varying abilities. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment. Participate in team meetings, contribute to intervention planning, and work alongside other professionals to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Requirements: HLTA qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience working with students with special educational needs in a resource base setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. Proven experience in using behaviour management techniques.
