Job summary
The post holder is a member of a team responsible for providing post and courier services to premises of the Trust, including delivery and sorting of mail to Trust premises and other non-trust sites as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at Flatts Lane and will be required to work between the hours of 7.00 am - 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
The post holder will complete and sign vehicle mileage logs and vehicle checklists to meet Trust standards, including the daily vehicle defect log, maintain an accurate log of journeys through daily completion of log sheets and timesheets, carry out filing of documents in line with Trust policy, and may be required to book vehicles for servicing and MOT/repair while liaising with the line manager. The post holder will also generate collection notes for the postal contractor to collect external mail.
Responsibilities include collecting, sorting, and franking mail ready for collection by Royal Mail and delivering internal mail to departments within the site.
