Lifeline Services have been providing award-winning support to the residents of Darlington since 1989, and an exciting opportunity has arisen within the response officer team to enable us to respond to the increasing demands of our service delivery.
The response team is based at our Town Hall office, and the integral duties of a Lifeline Response Officer include the demonstration, installation, and monitoring of various technology, as well as responding to any emergency calls as necessary.
Our officers must be able to think dynamically in a fast-paced and busy environment. You will be confident in the use of databases and Microsoft Office packages, with a good understanding of GDPR to meet the administrative duties of the role.
You will need to be approachable with a 'can do' attitude and possess valuable skills such as being sociable, flexible, and able to communicate effectively and with compassion to our clients. A strong background in a customer-facing role with experience of older, more vulnerable people would be an advantage.
We are looking for two officers who can work the following fixed shifts on a two-week alternating rota, which equates to a 25-hour per week contract for each officer:
Week One:
Friday evening 19:30 to 06:00
Saturday evening 19:30 to 06:00
Sunday evening 19:30 to 06:00
Week Two:
Wednesday evening 21:30 to 07:30
Thursday evening 21:30 to 07:30
The successful applicant will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks relevant to the post.
