We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker/Complex Needs to join our team in Market Lavington, Wiltshire. The client has Quadriplegic Spastic Cerebral Palsy, and a brain acquired injury, and is looking for someone to aid with their aspects of daily living – this will include diet supervision, therapies and emotional companionship.
Working Hours:
You will be a part of a team delivering 24/7 care – you will be responsible for delivering 5x out of 7 days to cover from 8-3 and alternating afternoon shifts of 3-10 pm. This will be on a rolling rota basis and will change with the needs of the entire team and one of these shifts will include some weekends. This will need to be flexible to cover clients’ appointments for therapies. When the client has respite, he takes his team with him and his specialised equipment. This will mean the whole team will learn to participate in all clients therapies and be trained.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging with personalised routines.
Assisting with care programme.
Assisting with neuro physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy
Assisting with household cleaning.
Providing emotional support and companionship.
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions. Checking for any wear and tear on equipment and reporting it back.
Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work the specified hours.
