Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 p/a
Adept Resourcing Group is excited to be working alongside a rapidly growing and innovative engineering company based in the North East, in their search for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for organising and coordinating a dynamic team of multiskilled maintenance engineers. With a focus on continuous improvement, the right Maintenance Supervisor will support both the Engineering and Operations teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor:
1. Supervise and carry out maintenance work activities to ensure optimal long-term availability of all plant, preserve the value of the assets, and meet Health, Safety, and Environmental obligations along with financial targets.
2. Efficiently plan and execute all electrical maintenance activities, working closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure and promote productivity at all sites.
3. Supervise a team of Technicians and, on occasions, contractors, ensuring their performance is maintained to a high standard, including electrical planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance, problem diagnosis, corrective action, repair, replacement, and testing of site equipment and systems.
4. Act on equipment breakdowns across all sites during both normal hours and, if required, outside of normal working hours, demonstrating a commitment to flexible working practices.
5. Control, maintain, and repair all PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Drives across all sites, including critical spares, program backups, and site training and development.
6. Attend meetings on Teams and daily face-to-face with maintenance and production departments to review workload and plan corrective actions. Provide feedback and data entry to establish maintenance KPIs for managerial meetings. Assist the Engineering Manager in creating and maintaining the department budget and finance objectives.
7. Participate in various continuous improvement activities across the site.
8. Establish and enforce expectations related to safety, compliance, corrective actions, and appropriate work behaviours. Maintain and improve the highest standards of Health and Safety within the working environment.
A Successful Maintenance Supervisor will have:
1. Minimum HNC, preferred Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
2. At least 5 years' experience in heavy industry with supervisory experience.
3. Proficiency in PLC / SCADA / HMI / DRIVES to enable testing, repair, commissioning, programming, and fault finding. Experience with Siemens S7, RS Logix, Allen Bradley, Compact Logix 5000 & 500, and Mitsubishi Processors.
4. Experience in the installation of electrical control systems, including AC / DC drives, Variable frequency drives, and closed-loop control with positioning systems.
5. Experience with monitoring equipment, installation, and commissioning of vibration and temperature detection.
6. Computer competency with EXCEL, POWERPOINT, WORD, and CMM Systems (Synchro).
7. Ability to coordinate and supervise work activities for Electrical, Multiskilled, and contractor personnel.
8. Knowledgeable and competent in reading electrical drawings, process, and control diagrams.
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
