Calling all Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants!
Protocol Education are working with a specialised SEN unit which currently supports KS2 students, predominantly boys with complex SEN/SEMH needs. This primary school is attached to a secondary SEN school and provides short-term placement to students aged 5-11 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education and where mainstream is not suitable to meet their needs at this stage in their educational journey. They provide a varied education and support for children experiencing significant social, emotional or behavioural difficulties in a small, supportive and nurturing environment where children of all abilities are encouraged to have high aspirations and to develop self-confidence and positive relationships.
Students are supported to access education in line with their EHC Plans and individual needs.
The Suitable Educator will have:
* Strong behaviour management
* Experience working with KS2 students with SEN and SEMH
* Resilience and the desire to make a difference to students facing challenges accessing education due to their needs and challenging behaviour
* Specifically need a male Teaching Assistant to be a positive influence & role model for these young boys
* Implement strategies and techniques to inspire a positive culture
* Proven experience in managing children with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
