We require a dynamic, innovative, and highly skilled Coordinator with excellent interpersonal skills, to work proactively in leading the provision for learners with SEND who require a personalised employment pathway. This high-profile role will also work collaboratively across all areas of the College and externally within the Centre for Excellence in SEND, sharing best practice. This is to ensure inclusive practice is embedded within all aspects of delivery, advising curriculum staff and specialist practitioners on creating accessible environments that lead to seamless transitions.The role includes managing and coordinating projects which specifically aim to support, inspire, and empower people with SEND to progress into paid employment. The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of SEND-specific courses, staff training, external national agendas and professional development programmes.An understanding, working knowledge, and previous experience of SEND statutory duties and best practices in inclusive education and employment pathways are essential.We require a dynamic, innovative and highly skilled practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills, to work proactively in co-ordinating the Supported Employment Excellence Hub provision. This high profile role will also work collaboratively across all areas of the college and externally to identify learners who need support to move into employment and match them to appropriate employment programmes and support. The post requires the coordinator to develop and lead the area, innovating practice through evidence based research.This role will play a pivotal role in building alternative pathways into employment for young people with SEND alongside ensuring there is a clear employer engagement strategy to support sustainable outcomes. The post carries a teaching commitment, and the person appointed will contribute to the quality assurance of the provision alongside leading a dynamic team involved in the development of a large and expanding provision for learners with SEND who are accessing employment programmes. KEY TASKS/DUTIES The person appointed will be responsible to the Learning Support Operations Manager and ultimately the Assistant Principal for the following:Curriculum Development• To contribute to the design and development of a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.• To proactively review and adapt the curriculum offer to reflect the requirements of external stakeholders, SEND Reforms, and the skills agenda.• To coordinate and develop systems and processes that ensure high-quality personalised programmes for learners accessing employment pathways and specialist support.• To effectively lead, manage and develop the implementation of curriculum and support programmes that creates an outstanding learner experience. Teaching, Learning, and Assessment• To ensure teaching, learning, and assessment are robustly monitored, identifying necessary support and training needs for staff.• To deliver teaching and training on appropriate courses alongside sharing best practices internally, externally, and within the SEND Centre of Excellence.• To effectively lead, manage and develop the implementation of curriculum and support programmes that creates an outstanding learner experience. Team Leadership and Development • To lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff, supporting their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.• To manage and supervise staff, providing regular 1:1 and group meetings, staff reviews, mentoring, and walkthroughs to ensure inclusive practice is embedded across the provision.• To manage and supervise SEND practitioners and support staff, ensuring their performance is regularly reviewed in line with College performance management protocols. Employer Engagement and Partnerships • To manage and coordinate the marketing of provision and information, advice, and guidance (IAG) for work and class-based learning, ensuring that learners can progress to further studies, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.• To work collaboratively with external partners and organisations to share best practices and ensure high-quality provision.• To actively liaise with employers, sharing best practices and demonstrating the value learners with SEND bring to the workforce. Performance and Quality Management • To achieve key targets in terms of attendance, achievement, retention, progression, and learner experience.• To monitor and support the development of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, including implementing developmental action plans for staff.• To ensure the progress of learners is robustly monitored, developed, and reported as per College protocols.• Work alongside the TLA Manager and Operations manager in the creation and implementation of quality improvement
