Sales and Marketing Manager

The company and role:
Splash Projects is an award-winning business which delivers leadership and team-building programmes for businesses and business schools through community projects, globally.
We have an impressive range of clients including Santander Consumer Finance UK, Deloitte, Qube Research & Technologies and BAE Systems. And we have worked with some of the world’s top business schools on their leadership and executive education programmes, including INSEAD, London Business School, Imperial Business School, ESSCA and IE Business School.
Our work can be likened to ‘DIY SOS’ in that we build infrastructure, predominantly out of timber, completely free of charge, for organisations in need, within a tight timeframe. Builds include playgrounds for disadvantaged children, sensory gardens and facilities for people with disabilities and communal seating areas to enhance social cohesion.
Unlike ‘DIY SOS’, the workforce delivering these projects isn’t local tradespeople but participants from sponsoring companies. The participants are taken out of their usual work comfort zones and challenged to deliver a project in an unfamiliar environment under the expert guidance of our project facilitators. While they learn about leadership, teamwork and the role of purpose in the business world, their work will leave a legacy for hundreds or thousands of people.
This win-win combination enables us to make a profound difference in the world, community by community, while helping businesses develop high performing teams. Over the last 20 years, 65,000 participants have taken part in projects across 34 different countries benefiting 500+ charities. We are really proud of our impact to date, but our ambition is to grow further, help more charities and reach over 100,000 participants within five years.
To deliver growth of this scale we need a brilliant Sales and Marketing Manager; someone who can help us start new conversations with new sponsoring businesses and business schools.
This is a new role for us, and we are looking for someone who can assist our Managing Director and Business Development Director.
Your focus will be generating connections with new customers. This will mean creating a communication strategy across our different media channels to target key clients around the world, to ensure they have heard of Splash, understand our product and services and are interested in receiving a proposal from us.
Our primary media channel is LinkedIn, so you’ll have some experience in using Sales Navigator and developing B2B marketing collateral for this platform and using CRM systems such as Hubspot or Zoho.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required
Key skills:
Sales and business generation
* Supporting the Managing Director and Lead-Generation Agency in developing a strategy by channel
* Using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to connect with potential new clients
* Manage the sales database and CRM system
* Research clients’ needs and build long-term relationships
* Develop client sales materials (letters, emails, films, meetings, presentations)
* Work with the Managing Director to produce pricing proposals
* Use client research to brief in new concepts / new products
* Define the optimum product / charity offer for each client
* Manage the handover between the client and our project team
* Analyse and share client feedback
B2B Marketing
* Execute direct marketing activities via LinkedIn / Other
* Work with our content editor to optimise the website/key word search/SEO
* Work with the content editor to develop our social media strategy
* Develop and manage the newsletter
* Create marketing materials including films, carousels and brochures
* Produce / publish thought leadership articles/case studies
* Work closely with the media lead and content editor
Nice to have:
* Experience of construction techniques, tools and materials
* Interest in participating in community projects around the world

Reporting and Remuneration
We are looking for someone who can grow and develop with us. They will report to the Managing Director, who has a sales and marketing background, and will work closely with colleagues in relationship management, business and project design, and operations.
The role is ideally full-time and based in Exmouth. We are open to discussing some flexible options around this.
