In this role, you will leverage your strong leadership skills to guide a dynamic team dedicated to creating safer communities and reducing antisocial behaviour. You’ll be the driving force in empowering your team to excel, while actively engaging with the public, community groups, councillors, and partner organisations to foster safer communities.
What you will do
Support the Community Safety Patrol Team Leader by providing day to day co-ordination of the Community Safety Patrol Officers.
Provide direct briefings, guidance, and supervision to a team of frontline officers patrolling across the borough.
Use your excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise briefings to team members and engage with a variety of stakeholders, including residents from different social, ethnic and religious groups, community organisations, and partner agencies.
Provide a visible patrolling presence and address antisocial behaviour confidently, working collaboratively with partners to resolve issues to enhance community wellbeing.

The ability to provide direction and guidance to team members, prioritising a busy workload and resourcing requirements whilst leading by example.
Superb communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide variety of audiences.
The ability to stay calm under pressure and use own initiative to respond proactively to a variety of different challenges.
Experience of using a range of methods, tools, and powers to best respond to antisocial behaviour and supporting a community where people feel safe.

Please note this post requires shift work, including regular unsocial hours and the ability to conduct patrols on foot and by bicycle in all weathers. A clear DBS check will be required before the successful candidate begins employment. The candidate will be required to meet Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) standards and achieve Police Level 2 vetting.
