Organisation
Connected Voice is seeking to appoint an experienced manager to lead our Haref and Health Equity teams. This is a key role in our senior management team, supporting the Haref Network and the development of VCSE involvement in health systems locally via our Health Equity work.
There are numerous, often complex, reasons why ethnically marginalised communities face specific health issues and health inequalities. Haref works with ethnically marginalised communities to identify their key issues around health and improve the health information available to them. We help health services to have a better understanding of what communities need, and we build confidence within communities so they can talk to health services about their cultural needs.
Our Health Equity team is the newest part of Connected Voice. The team runs a number of projects connecting VCSE organisations to health services to improve digital inclusion, mental health support, and social prescribing.
If you are committed to helping tackle health inequalities, amplifying community voices, and working in the VCSE sector, this may be the role for you.
