Senior Site Engineer Wanted.
We are searching for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to work on various construction sites throughout Somerset and parts of Devon. This position offers the opportunity to work on a permanent basis with a credible contractor, along with career development options for those interested in progression.
This role is with a well-respected, established, and highly profitable civils contractor who delivers a variety of infrastructure schemes across various sectors. They are searching for the newest member of their growing team. You can expect to work on schemes ranging from £1 million to £20 million in value.
Senior Engineer's Responsibilities
1. Undertaking Surveys.
2. Setting out of sites.
3. Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
4. Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure they are followed correctly.
5. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
6. Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
7. Gathering data, compiling reports, and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
8. Managing and overseeing the construction of roads and sewers.
9. Liaising with highways and services providers to ensure completed works are passed off as soon as work is completed.
10. Reporting any changes in drawings to QS to ensure we have priced work correctly.
11. Working as part of the construction management team to meet deadline dates on all aspects of work.
Key Requirements
1. Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or similar.
2. Experience in similar roles.
3. Great written and verbal communication skills.
4. Sound knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Design.
5. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
6. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
7. UK civils project experience.
8. Right to live and work in the UK.
