We're on the hunt for a Warehouse/Counter Sales Superstar to join our team in Ashburton. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your role is pivotal in supporting our customers by recommending suitable products, providing relevant quotes based on their needs, and offering excellent customer service to ensure our customers continue shopping with us.
Although some experience in warehousing or customer service is an advantage, for this role, we are looking for someone with the right attitude. You’ll be willing to get stuck in with all aspects of warehousing and counter sales in our branch. We work together as a team and in doing so, we chip in wherever possible just to get the job done.
Key to your success in this role are your excellent verbal and written communication, your ability to work well under pressure, physical fitness, natural attention to detail and experience in working with numerical data. A clean restricted or full driver’s licence and ability to drive while towing a trailer is also required to support your application. A current forklift licence is an advantage, or a willingness to gain a forklift licence (paid for by the company).
Key Responsibilities:
* Serving customers and generating sales (via counter, phone, email)
* Sorting customer pricing and account queries, returns and credits
* Organising transfers of incoming goods and distribution of products
* Assisting with and maintaining the stock in the showroom and on shelves
* Invoicing accurately and on-time. Follow up on any purchase orders
* Receiving, unpacking, inspecting incoming goods and updating system
* Contributing and supporting the stock-take process
* Helping with the delivery of goods (where necessary) to customers/site
* Ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5pm, with the occasional rostered Saturday, 8:30am - 11:30am.
