A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEND teacher to join Knowleswood Primary School.
The successful candidate will be required to teach children, with a range of SEND needs, within a fully inclusive primary school environment. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established and growing team of staff who work hard to ensure that all our children are included, engaged and inspired to be their best. They will work collaboratively with a range of other professionals to ensure that SEND students access a relevant, meaningful, and exciting education.
Knowleswood Primary School is part of Exceed Academies Trust, which currently consists of fourteen academies; ten primary schools, an all-through primary-to-secondary academy, two alternative provision academies (Primary and Secondary), and a specialist setting for children/young people who suffer from social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The Trust has an excellent reputation within Bradford and beyond, and an outstanding track record of supporting staff in developing their careers through specialist training lead by the Exceed Teaching School Hub and our Outstanding SCITT.
The successful candidate will:
• Be responsible for supporting and educating children with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
• Work with a genuine child-centered, nurturing approach that puts the pupils social, emotional and mental wellbeing at the heart of their practice
• Have a strong commitment to ensuring excellent pupil progress
• Be dedicated to sharing responsibilities for raising standards
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of each
student.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a
supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to
parents and staff.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive
learning atmosphere.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEN teaching
strategies and educational research.

The essential requirements of this role are;
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching.
• Strong knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
