We are looking for Band 5 Radiographers to join our growing department.
To provide general and trauma radiographic support to the thriving Radiology department at Musgrove Park hospital. The role will involve plain film xrays, portable xrays, theatre fluoroscopy and will include working at community sites and our Community Diagnostic Centre.
With QSI accreditation this is a forward thinking and progressive Radiology service in an 800 bed acute DGH. The service employs the latest techniques in CT, MRI, IR, fluoroscopy and Cath lab.
In partnership with Ergea, the department benefits from a managed equipment service which ensures equipment kept up to date and looks after our 3 MRI scanners, brand new US department, interventional suites, 3 CT scanners and 3 cath labs. There is a separate ED and orthopaedic imaging department which also supports both theatres and mobile imaging.
As part of this role, you will participate in our 24/7 out of hours, service provision and will work at a number of peripheral sites.
Applications from newly qualified or student radiographers are welcomed as we have an excellent preceptorship program.
Main duties of the job
* HCPC Radiography registration
* To participate in the 24-hour radiographer shift roster
* Attend mandatory training and updates, as per Trust policy
* To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team when involved in combined procedures
* Ability and willingness to work at Peripheral sites when required
* Current permit to work in the UK
