Title: Driver Trainer
Function: Distribution Training Team
Contract: Full Time, 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Burnley and Blackpool (with requirements to cover other sites across the North of England when required)
Are you an exceptional Driver Trainer or Driver Assessor ready to elevate your career? Warburtons is on the lookout for a passionate Driver Trainer to join our team at the Burnley and Blackpool sites. This exciting role is Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
As a key member of our Distribution Training Team, you will be instrumental in delivering top-notch driver training and assessments for both new and existing team members. You will lead by example, promoting safe, economical, and professional driving standards, and embodying excellence in driving. Minimum Requirements:
* Holder of a current and up to date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence CPC and a Class 1 license
* An experienced Driver Trainer or Driving Assessor
* Have an excellent knowledge of current Transport Legislation
* Happy to travel to other sites, as per business needs (including Scotland, Yorkshire and the North East)
The Recipe
In this collaborative role, you’ll partner with the distribution team to ensure new drivers are smoothly onboarded, meeting all Company policies, health and safety guidelines, and legal requirements. You’ll also support our existing drivers with ongoing training and development to help them excel in their roles.
We’re passionate about personal development, and you’ll have the chance to implement a training schedule that supports drivers working towards higher category licenses through the Warburtons Driver Academy.
With previous experience in Distribution, you’ll have a strong knowledge of transport legislation, including driver regulations, the mobile working time directive, and the Highway Code. A current CPC is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a passion for coaching and developing others.
Predominantly looking after our Burnley and Blackpool sites, you may also need to cover our other sites in the North West, Yorkshire, North East and Scotland, as per the business requirements.
