About The Role
Working in the Middlesbrough office within the Marine Installation department to assist in all aspects of Vessel Mobilisation for offshore cable installation projects.
The Assistant Mobilisation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are set up for success by facilitating a smooth and efficient mobilisation process. Your contributions help lay the foundation for the successful execution of projects within the organisation.
Responsibilities
1. Sourcing the correct hire equipment, according to project requirements and budget available.
2. Pre-Mobilisation engineering.
3. Preparation of mobilisation scope of work and execution of mobilisation of vessels
4. Assisting in the planning and coordination of project mobilisation activities, including equipment, materials, and personnel requirements.
5. Supporting the development and implementation of project mobilisation plans, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines.
6. Collaborating with Lead Mobilisation Engineer, Offshore Managers, Technical Services, and other Installation team members to ensure smooth preparations for mobilisation activities.
7. Monitoring and tracking mobilisation progress, budgets, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
8. Participating in project meetings, providing updates on mobilisation activities, and contributing to problem-solving discussions.
9. Assist and deputise for Lead Mobilisation Engineer during on site works at varying locations worldwide.
Qualifications & Requirements
10. Ideally hold previous experience from a similar offshore / marine environment
11. Preferably educated to Degree level or apprentice trained in a Mechanical bias. However, not essential if experience held.
12. Proven high level of communication skills.
13. Communication skills and team working aptitude particularly as this role requires working with a close team of people
14. Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
15. Ability to work away for weekday, weekend or bank holidays as required by the test program. To also be flexible to fulfil the dynamic nature of the position.
