Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced procurement professional to manage its full spectrum of procurement projects. If successful, you will manage a very small team consisting of one Procurement Assistant.

This is an exciting time for those involved in procurement. The Procurement Act 2023 has provided the tools for improvement, and we want someone who is willing and able to grasp those tools and to shape the future culture of procurement at the Council. Are you that person?
To be successful you will need:
* Substantial knowledge and experience of public sector procurement/contract management and practice;
* A good knowledge and understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and what a local authority is required to do to implement the required changes;
* Knowledge and experience of transformational change and innovation in order to achieve the most from the legislative changes;
* Successful track record of communication and working with stakeholders and partners;
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
