Our Housing client based in the West Midlands are currently recruiting for an NEC Contracts Manager to join their Corporate team.
This is a full-time, temporary position offering between 38 - 42 per hour Umbrella LTD, with a higher rate offered for candidates who can provide significant evidence of competence and experience.
As the Corporate Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing, overseeing, and optimizing corporate contracts, ensuring value for money while mitigating commercial and contractual risks. This role requires extensive experience in NEC contract management, financial oversight, and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and govern corporate contracts, ensuring financial control and risk mitigation.
2. Act as the contract management lead, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping best practices.
3. Develop contract management strategies, guidance, and training across the organization.
4. Provide expert commercial advice on contract management issues and supplier performance.
5. Establish a Contract Management Forum to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
6. Oversee supplier relationships and performance monitoring.
7. Support contract negotiations and contribute to commercial decision-making.
Requirements:
1. Proven track record in NEC Partnering contract management.
2. Strong commercial, contractual, and financial acumen.
3. Experience in the housing, construction, or facilities management sector.
4. Degree-level qualification (preferably with RICS or relevant professional membership).
5. Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
6. Knowledge of contract law, governance, and procurement best practices.
