Main duties of the job As a Band 6 on AMU, you will play a key role incoordinating patient flow and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients with complex, high-acuity needs. You will be responsible for identifying patients requiring multidisciplinary team (MDT) reviews and those needing transfer to other departments. You will work closely with A&E and the Operational Centre, promptly escalating any concerns to ensure smooth transitions in patient care. Effective communication is essential, and you will regularly liaise with the clinical lead and junior doctors to promote efficient patient flow. Additionally, you will lead the board rounds with consultants twice a day, taking an active role in patient management.
