About the Role
The Children's Early Help Connector is responsible for working together with practitioners from a range of different backgrounds to build their capability and confidence in working with families and in implementing the Devon Early Help Offer and pathway to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families that could not have been achieved by any one of the agencies acting alone.
The Connector will also be responsible for following up and quality assuring families situations that have come from the Early Help triage through the Childrens Front Door. You will need to have a strong working knowledge of the Early Help IT system “Right for Children” in order to offer advice and support.
Good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner will be essential demonstrating empathy, sensitivity and understanding the importance of children and families confidentiality. You will need to be able to establish situations that have reached a level of risk or seriousness in terms of urgency that require an oversight by delegated senior staff.
