The Imaging Department is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual to the position of Imaging Department Assistant within the General X-ray team at UHNM.
Imaging Department Assistants are required to provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff .
A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Taking part in our 24/7 365 day service providing excellent care to the local population. The role is on a shift basis covering and 8 hr days and nights.
Reception / clerical duties including data entry are essential elements of the role, however the majority of the work consists of working clinically alongside Radiographers within Imaging rooms and also on portable imaging.
The post holder will act as a Fire Warden to the team (training given).
Main duties of the job
The duties are varied and include data input, reception duties, direct patient care, assisting Diagnostic Radiographers, maintaining stock in clinical areas and departmental cleanliness. Successful candidates would need to be highly motivated, uphold thetrusts values and promises and havegood organisational and IT skills.
Applicants must have previous experience of working in a caring environment and hold 5 GCSE's at grade C or above to include Maths and English.
