Responsibilities:
1. Oversee councils closure of accounts process
2. Prepare and consolidate financial statements
3. Conduct reconciliations and analyses of key accounts
4. Support the internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
5. Provide technical accounting advice and guidance to surrounding departments
Requirements
6. Strong knowledge of current accountant standards
7. Wealth of knowledge of key developments in local authority finance
