We are seeking a highly qualified and skilled Senior Early Childhood Practitioner (SECP) with expertise in early childhood learning and development, to join our management team at St John’s Academy Nursery.
The post is whole year working.
As a part of the management team, the role is to work alongside the Principal ECP and Nursery Teacher to respond to the individual needs of our children and families and support the delivery of high quality learning and development.
You will assist in the organisation and management of the service for the benefit of all children, families and the wider community.

Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus. Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6. The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

Skills & Experience Required
You must have SNNB/HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional studies e.g., PDA or modules from a relevant degree and have a commitment to work towards a qualification to allow registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Lead Practitioner e.g. BA Childhood Practice within SSSC timescales.
You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible childcare and early education service, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families in the centre and its surrounding community, within the context of both authority and Nursery policies and procedures.
