Role: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Gloucester, GL3 4AQ Duration: 12 months Rate: Negotiable on experience Inside IR35 - Umbrella only The Supplier Quality Engineer takes responsibility for communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an assigned supplier group. In this role you will use your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals throughout the supply chain. Responsible for driving quality with assigned suppliers and improving quality performance via Quality Improvement Plans Support supplier selection through robust qualification processes working closely with Sourcing Leaders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers Accelerate improvements in supplier quality for zero defect deliveries Provide Quality Engineering support using your skills across a commodity group. Represent Supplier Quality Engineering in new product introduction supporting and identifying new processes or advanced automated equipment in the extended supply chain. Conduct supplier audits ensuring compliance to Company and regulatory requirements Support daily business rhythms through leader standard work rhythms Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality improvement plans Support supplier selection and maintain ASL Conduct supplier audits in line with compliance calendar and support supplier in closing out any corrective actions Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant quality and manufacturing concepts Qualification / Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or time served apprenticeship with supporting qualifications in a relevant industry Experience in supply chain or manufacturing roles An understanding of EASA Part21J, Part21G or Part145 Experience in a regulated industry Desired: Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to influence others and lead small teams in problem solving Ability to travel and work effectively away from the office Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Demonstrable problem solving skills techniques Understanding of AS9100 and EASA regulations Part21J, Part21G and Part145 Proven analytical skills A specialist understanding of one the following processes will be an advantage; composites, machining, moulding, coatings or forging.
