Field Service Engineer
Are you ready to advance your career with a well-established, privately owned company? My client, founded in the early 2000s, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers diverse work, including travel across the UK, with transportation and accommodation provided. While experience with rotating machinery, pumps, centrifuges, and presses is beneficial, comprehensive training will be offered.
Field Service Engineer Requirements:
1. Completed apprenticeship or formal technical training.
2. Experience in the water, wastewater, or process/manufacturing industries.
3. Proficient in industrial control systems, including PLCs and motor drives up to 150 kW.
4. Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues in control panels (electrical qualifications are an advantage).
5. Flexibility to travel across the UK and work varied hours, including participation in an on-call rota.
6. Strong communication and reporting skills with standard office software.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, operate, and maintain mobile processing equipment.
2. Perform service contracts and mechanical repairs on customer-installed plants.
3. Conduct equipment servicing and installations on-site and at the workshop, with occasional overseas travel.
4. Provide technical support during customer visits alongside the sales team.
5. Supervise subcontractors and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Benefits:
1. Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 per annum.
