Safe Places for Children UK have originated from Australia and have brought over their developed and researched Integrated Practice Framework over to the United Kingdom to help generate and create a new therapeutic residential service for young people. Bi-Yearly Anniversary Bonus of £250.00 every six months after successful completion of 6 month probation period. Required Weekly Hours: 32 shift hours and 2 sleepovers (Hours Bank System) 6 Non-Contact Hours (Allocated time for Key Worker Duties) 2 At Calls to be completed on a weekly basis (additional hours worked paid out at high rates) Shift Patterns: A regular shift is 24 hours long. It consists of 16 hours awake working time and 8 hours paid sleepover period. Two shifts to be completed every week and opportunity to add to your Hour Bank System. Opportunity to work additional shifts and seek pay out of additional hours. The need to respond to behaviours in a way that role models an ability to remain calm, hopeful, caring, consistent, respectful and understanding of others (as opposed to reacting emotionally) Collaboration is needed to support the child across the various areas of their life (i.e. protective services, health services, counselling services, educational facilities). Ongoing support provided to team members on shift and constant access to 24/7 on call support for urgent matters. Support provided to staff through TCI Post Crisis Response and Reflective Supervision. Opportunities to coach and develop other team members within your home and have an overall responsibility for leading your shift as a Key Worker. Position Requirements Essential Third Level Qualification or a Level 3 Diploma in a Relevant Subject. 2 Years experience in working with challenging behaviours; preferably within a Registered Residential Service. Have held a UK Driving Licence for more than 1 Year and no more than three penalty points. Ability to do shift work and sleeping sleepovers (All shifts have asleepover component) Willing to undergo a Northern Ireland Social Care Council Registration and Enhanced Access NI. Able to pass checks.
