ROLE OVERVIEW To perform quality & inspection duties to ensure that product meets all technical specifications and quality/safety requirements through all stages of the product lifecycle, including goods inward. Other duties to assist in implementation of the safety and compliance management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the Company policy on Health and Safety is reflected in all actions To verify that product meets all specifications throughout the manufacturing process. Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance system and customer specifications. Communicate with company personnel to ensure compliance of the final product. Carry out internal/external audits as specified in the companys internal/external audit program. Provide and maintain First Article Inspection reports. Report and document non compliances. Goods in inspection, Mechanical Lead Detail inspection, Mechanical Lead Final inspection Mechanical Lead Maintain the PTR (workmanship) database. Maintain/Assist with business K.P.I & P.I analysis & quality data. Maintain traceability of documentation as required. Adhere to all company health and safety requirements. Adhere to all company environmental requirements Adhere to all company security requirements Deputise for the Quality Manager as required per Quality competency matrix. Authorised signatory as per Quality competency matrix. Final documentation sign off as per Quality competency matrix. Provide written & verbal information to assist the Quality Manager. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager Requirements: IPC-610 Certified/trained preferred. Experience : Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or HNC Significant mechanical inspection Ability to work to attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be an effective team player. Must be highly motivated and able to form close relationships internally and externally to achieve goals. System and Quality focused. Knowledge of FARO arm measurement system an advantage Skills Required : Must be capable of examining assemblies to confirm compliance. Ability to understanding dimensional and tolerance requirements Must be able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings. Must be able to use standard measuring equipment.
