The role
Croydon High School is looking for a part time teacher with extensive Art/3D Design knowledge to play a key role within a vibrant department.
As Teacher of 3D Design, you will provide stimulating and engaging 3D Design lessons, delivering inspiring teaching that supports the learning of students. Working closely with your colleagues, you will also help create a positive culture of pupil welfare and behaviour, by taking an active role in pastoral matters as a form teacher.
You will be a well-qualified teacher, with experience of teaching Art/3D Design (the ability teach Art at KS3 would be beneficial). Drawing on your strong subject knowledge, you will be able to teach 3D Design up to A Level and will also demonstrate experience of successfully contributing to or running extra-curricular clubs and activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and highly successful department that is dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic excellence.
The Art and 3D Design Department
The Art and 3D Design Department offers a broad and ambitious curriculum, delivering Fine Art and 3D Design across all year groups up to A Level. Pupils have access to a diverse range of media, from traditional painting, printmaking, and ceramics to contemporary techniques incorporating textiles, photography, and digital media such as Adobe Photoshop. Within 3D Design, students explore a wide spectrum of creative disciplines, designing everything from furniture to jewellery while developing expertise in materials including wood, acrylic, metal, and glass.
Teachers within the department are supported in developing their own artistic practice and are expected to contribute to the school’s vibrant extra-curricular programme by offering clubs and activities during lunchtimes and after school.
