As a UKI Strategic BDM, you will be working with the Distribution and Product leadership and the Regional Trading Teams to ensure Broker relationships fulfil their potential across the full range of Chubb propositions.
A key element will be ensuring the Chubb Broker proposition is compelling in an established and competitive broker segment.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the aligned designated relationships are delivering the access to within appetite business and that robust execution processes are in place. This will include negotiation of broker agreements and facility arrangements and ensuring the wider relationship process remains on track. A high level of rapport with the senior management of the brokers is integral to this role creating an effective bridge for the wider Chubb relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the primary individual in managing the CHUBB Broker relationship and be recognised as such by colleagues and brokers.
* Ensure relationship alignment between Chubb and designated UKI Growth Brokers.
* Oversight and track performance of broker account v broker plan.
* Build and maintain relationships with Senior Broker Management.
* Provide timely and accurate reporting to Management when required.
* Oversight performance of all broker facilities.
* Work with the London and Regional Trading Teams to ensure objectives are met.
* Be the focal point for agreed multi-line client relationships.
* Work with Head of Distribution to evolve Chubb distribution strategy.
* Be the main contact point for Broker Market Management teams.
* Achievement of tangible financial goals including broker new business and retention goals, new business for Industry Practice segments, and price objectives across branch portfolio.
Achievement of activity aligned goals:
* Ensure the Chubb / broker relationship matrix is built and maintained across UK&I.
* Track performance via submissions received / quoted on / declined / accepted.
* Renewal cases / clients retained managed through maintenance of Salesforce data.
* Achievement of agreed product penetration goals through target marketing and cross selling.
Establish and maintain the relationship management process:-
* Execute relationship and facility agreements consistent with legal and compliance protocols.
* Work with the Broker Carrier Management teams to achieve agreed focus objectives.
* Ensure execution and review processes are embedded, e.g. quarterly reviews.
* Review broker performance and issues as a team.
* Build and maintain outstanding internal relations with product leadership and Chubb senior management including regional operations.
* Take personal accountability for agreed new and renewal cases, typically large and multi-line.
Develop and implement functional broker strategies that will:-
* Support the achievement of the ‘key accountabilities’.
* Increase CHUBB Brand Awareness.
* Ensure that new business is proactively sourced and developed.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong Commercial Insurance experience with either an insurer or broker background.
* Previous experience in broker relationship management would be an advantage, with examples of strategic creation and delivery.
* ACII desirable but not essential; Sales or marketing qualifications would be attractive.
* Graduate desirable, but not essential; minimum of A level education or any business-based qualifications would be attractive.
