Description & Background:
We're seeking an experienced Utilities Demand Manager to join the Sizewell C team, a transformative nuclear power plant project. You'll be responsible for managing electrical, water, and IT & telecommunications service needs across this major infrastructure project. As Sizewell C transitions from EDF to majority government ownership, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape utility management strategies at a critical time.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee pre-construction and construction utility deliverables
* Develop and implement utility management strategies
* Promote strong Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) culture
* Provide input to Environmental Management Plans and permits
* Coordinate with Utilities Designers, Contractors, and stakeholders
* Manage project changes and risk mitigation strategies
* Ensure compliance with DCO guidelines
* Lead multidisciplinary teams
* Collaborate with Construction, Environmental, and Site Operations teams
* Drive successful delivery of utilities within budget and timeline
Experience Required:
* Proven experience managing utilities for large-scale construction projects
* Strong leadership and team-building abilities
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Proficiency in project management tools
* Problem-solving and adaptability skills
* Experience in complex, fast-paced environments
* Expertise in utilities services (water, telecommunications, power)
* Ability to reprioritize tasks effectively
Salary, Hours and Location:
