Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients team with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £32,960 depending upon experience. This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern are as follow: Monday to Friday 0730-2000 Saturday – 0730-1400 No Sundays, No Bank Holidays The Outpatients Healthcare Assistant will primarily be a valuable member of the nursing team working within the scope of their role whilst supporting the registered nursing team to ensure the best possible patient care is delivered. Health Care Assistants will deliver direct patient care involved in assisting nursing Caregivers and providing direct patient care, as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and always working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity. The Outpatient Department within the main hospital consists of eight consulting rooms, one treatment room for minor procedures and separate rooms for non-invasive cardiac testing. Cleveland Clinic London’s consultants provide diagnosis and non-surgical management and treatment options for patients over 18 with both acute and chronic conditions. We help with a range of health issues, including care for all adults with multiple or complex medical conditions, with personalised, comprehensive services for our patients’ unique health challenges. We also offer surgical and orthopaedic liaison services, providing a streamlined care experience. What will your duties include? To ensure consulting and treatment rooms are prepared ahead of each clinic and between patients. Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nursing Caregivers. Ensure the correct disposal of confidential waste in order that the security of material of a sensitive nature is not compromised in any way. To be aware of Universal Precautions, basic Infection Control Procedures and Sharps Safety Procedures. Support Caregivers to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. What we need from you? Experience working in an Outpatients setting. Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Care & Social Care BLS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire. Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field. Good communication and organisational skills What can we offer you?
