Job description: Contracts Manager- Electrical Test & Inspection General Description The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of multiple contracts that cover the completion of electrical inspection & testing in social housing properties. The contracts to be managed are with wellknown social housing associations and local authorities. The role will involve management of- an annual budget, an admin team, qualified supervisors, and a team of electrical engineers. The post holder will be responsible for meeting targets and deadlines set by both clients and the company. The role will involve a mixture of working from the company offices in Hertford, home working and meeting with clients and engineers in various locations.. Responsibilities and Duties • Management of an annual budget • Management of team members • Meeting client targets & deadlines • Meeting targets set by the company • Attending meetings with clients both in person and online. • Completing variation orders and quotations • Managing programmes of work • Updating company systems and client portals • Adhering to any company policy • To undertake any training provided by the company • To Support any business change for the benefit of the company • Any ad-hoc duties as reasonably instructed by your line manager or directors Required Skills & Experience. • Good personal skills • Excellent communication skills • Excellent organisation skills • Management experience • Good knowledge of the electrical industry, current regulations • Knowledge of the testing and inspection procedure • Electrical installation experience • Very good IT skills • Administrative skills • Positive attitude and time keeping Qualifications • Management qualifications desired but not compulsory • City and Guilds level 3 electrotechnical qualification or equivalent • City and Guilds 2391-51 or equivalent • City and Guilds 2382-18 – BS7671 18th Edition update You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months. Travel and Hours To perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments. You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour’s un-paid break, with the core hours of work being 8:00am to 17:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours, you will also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include un-sociable hours such as evenings and weekends.
