Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AE&C) firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing structural systems for a variety of building types, including residential and commercial. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop innovative and sustainable designs that meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
Duties
Structural Design:
* Develop and create detailed structural designs for buildings and other structures using AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard software.
* Design steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structural systems to meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
* Perform structural analysis to ensure the stability and strength of structures.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other design professionals to coordinate project designs.
* Attend project meetings and site visits to understand client needs and project goals.
Technical Documentation:
* Prepare structural design drawings, specifications, and calculations for project engineers to review and approve.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and engineering principles.
Project Management Support:
* Assist the lead engineer and project manager in planning, scheduling, and managing project timelines and budgets.
* Coordinate with contractors during the construction phase to resolve design and installation issues.
Requirements
* Valid Driver’s license
* Clean Background check
* Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
* Travel as needed using your vehicle. Mandatory Liability limits 100/300/100.
Qualifications (required related experience)
* Strong personal organizational and time management skills as well as a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.).
Education (required minimum education level):
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
* 2+ years of experience in structural design.
* AutoCAD experience.
* Revit experience.
