About the Job In the capacity of an Electrician, you will assume responsibility for diagnosing faults, conducting repairs, and maintaining assets across various operational sites, encompassing both Drinking Water Services and Waste Water Services. Your duties will involve executing planned tasks derived from maintenance schedules, ensuring the upkeep of operational assets. You will deliver services to exacting standards in a sustainable manner that aligns with internal and external customer service expectations, all while mitigating compliance risks and upholding quality standards. In this role, you will draw upon your expertise to implement permanent asset preservation techniques, both reactively and proactively. You will possess the ability to identify assets in need of repair, prevent future faults and breakdowns, and offer recommendations to stakeholders across the organisation regarding necessary planned maintenance for the implementation of permanent solutions. Responsibilities: Provide expert support in your field, utilising electrical, control, and process systems to maintain or minimize risk and impact on our customers. Perform repairs and maintenance across operational sites, diagnosing faults in asset control, electrical systems, and automation. Collaborate with other disciplines within a mobile field team. Maintain open communication with all personnel affected by your work. Create or update site engineering documentation that facilitates operational functions in carrying out, supporting, and maintaining the works process and performance. Actively support our internal customers in alignment with the vision of being Trusted, Responsible, Collaborative, and Progressive. Plan, prioritise, and execute work to meet the requirements of the maintenance delivery model and the operations team. Adhere to current ISO and health and safety systems, procedures, and policies at all times. Willingly undergo necessary training to enhance technical skills and maintain up-to-date awareness of health and safety practices. Comply with all business rules related to the delivery and feedback regarding all maintenance activities. What We Are Looking For: Essentials: Completion of a time-served apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications such as City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND. Compliance with current IEE Regs 18th Edition. City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10 certification. A valid UK driving license. Desirables: Industrial/Commercial experience is essential. Experience with VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), soft starts, and motor control systems. Understanding of Wiring Diagrams. Familiarity with working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Strong working knowledge of LV systems, including working with voltages ranging from 415 VAC down to 24 VAC and DC control and indication.
