Take charge of a specified area of work, including the Main laboratory as required, supervise non-state registered staff and other BMS staff, and deputise for Band 7 section leaders when necessary. Implement policies in specialised areas and propose changes that will improve and develop the service for users inside and outside the Trust To assist in the development and maintenance of standards as necessary for continuing UKAS ISO 15189:2022 accreditation Carry out quality audits (Horizontal, Vertical and Examination) of laboratory processes/procedures To assist in the development and implementation of departmental training plans for staff, as required.
