About the Role Maintaining the food safety and quality standards on a daily basis, monitoring and maintaining GMP and product standards from Intake through to Despatch. Working closely with the QA Manager and Operations department to ensure that product is manufactured and packed to the specified tolerances to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and ensure food safety and legality. Responsibilities Lead and maintain the quality and technical requirements within the factory environment. Ensure all raw materials, processed product and finished products conform to specification. Ensure incoming raw materials and packaging meet our internal specification. Carry out Quality and Technical duties as defined by the Technical and Quality Managers. Carry out customer benchmarking panels, shelf-life testing, consistency, customer complaints panels, online reviews and other sensory requirements as defined by customer, inputting results directly to customer web-based systems. Reporting any non-conformance issues to Line Manager in a timely manner. Collecting and processing samples for laboratory testing. Supporting the production team to get things done and recorded correctly, and making sure that everyone complies with company food safety procedures. Drive right first-time behaviours amongst fellow work colleagues across multi-disciplined teams. Carry out checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification. Support Customer Audits and Visits. Work closely with Production and NPD teams to maintain smooth site running and technical compliance. Qualifications Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent) Required Skills Quality Auditing experience. Internal Auditing Qualification Root Causes Analysis Intermediate HACCP Experience of working in Chilled environments Knowledge of fish products Ability to take part in audits. A personal commitment to role model behaviours and setting the standard.
